Glad someone else thinks this! I’ve been trying to get friends to watch it, but no luck yet. Seriously gritty and the sound track is great too. Will make sure I steer wide of Scampia should I ever go to Naples!
 
The Night of
Vice Principles (dark comedy, that gets pretty messed up with D. McBride and W.Goggins as leads)

I find HBO is generally a good source for quality mini series.

The Night Of (as other on this thread have also suggested) Was superb and ticked all the boxes .....very much enjoyed every episode.

Agree with your comments on HBO being a good source for mini series.

Didn't at all get along with an earlier suggestion The Ozarks (Netflix)...... Not in the same league.

Vice Principals recommendation is interesting as I enjoyed Walton Goggins from his time on The Shield / Sons of Anarchy) ....Will take a look.
 
Thanks for the Chenobyl HBO mini series recommendation started watching..very good.
Am also complementing this by listening to the Chenobyl series podcast with Craig Mazin Creator...lots of extra info and facts on each episode
