Good old Bercow!! He should be on these forums!

bercow is the only guy whos face I would punch over justin biebers

democracy is great unless your to long putting a point across.

ridiculous prats wanting to hurry and leave the session

The rules are, get to the point with your question. Then he wouldn't have to tell people to hurry up. It's not the first time he's had to do it. Probably won't be the last.

Rules are the rules. Bercow is great. He's equally despised by all sides of the house, which is as it should be. He doesn't give a **** what party you're from he will regulate on your ass in the blink of an eye if he thinks you're taking the ****.

Jon Bercow is the best speaker this country has had in a long time - he is actively trying to modernise parliament, ditch antiquated and bizarre traditions (for example, he has decided to wear even less of the traditional costume worn by speakers) and enthusiastically insists that for all roles of clerk and other important civil servants in parliament that at least one woman is interviewed (trying to check the gender imbalance prevalent in HoP). He's not afraid to get stuck in and tell of ministers, or even the PM:

Plus I chatted to him for a couple of hours in 2013 and he's an all-round top guy haha.

Joining Jack fury at Commons speaker

This story has popped up on my news feed and there is no thread on here so thought I would share. A lot of rugby fans and northerns will know about the joining jack charity.
I know there will be differing opinions about this but doesn't this just make the house look like complete Muppets - yes he may have talked to long - but really.

Should be furious at the MP for not being able to ask a question in parliament in accordance with the rules - especially as it's such a serious subject. Speaker was just doing his job.
