Good old Bercow!! He should be on these forums!

Should be furious at the MP for not being able to ask a question in parliament in accordance with the rules - especially as it's such a serious subject. Speaker was just doing his job.

This unfortunately.

Being so important, he should have made doubly sure he got it right.

There's a lot of topics they must cover, all scheduled. Why should this take priority we don't know what's going on later in the day. Speaker doing his job.

Why is his point more important than anyone elses in the house?

It's not. The issue is the way the speaker addressed the issue and in fact made it worse than it needed to be.

Instead of being a high horsed moron, he simply could have told the bloke to get to his point, but instead he went off on some rambling tirade which ended up lasting longer than the guys speech did, which is what he was moaning about in the first place.

Speaker of the House was shockingly rude...disgusting..same with the reactions of the rest of the baying monkeys in the house....and MPs wonder why members of the public have such a low opinion of them! just lol!

The speaker did give him a warning before cutting him off, the only reason things dragged on a bit was because Mulholland started throwing his toys out of the pram and spoke back. You just don't like the Speaker because he's your MP and no-one apart from the minor parties stood against him in your constituency.

I knew that was coming :D

I have nothing against the guy, it could have been him,John major, bill gates or carol vorderman and I'd have the same responseabove, so don't be so daft and bring another discussion into the mix.

As has been said, they're literally like a bunch of playground children.

Things 'dragged on', because he made them drag on by trying to prove a point, which all the other children merrily stood behind the speaker and snickered.

Never heard about joining jack, I've read this thread went and did a google, now I know.

Seams like the speaker was in on it and helped the MP gain a lot of free media coverage for Joining Jack. I'm joking but you get my point?

Well done.
