Good, older games?

I'm going through a bit of a first person phase at the moment so here are a few to get you started. They're all high quality titles so you can't go wrong, especially at these prices.

Wolfenstein: New Order - £4
Wolfenstein: The New Colossus - £7
Doom: 2016 - £4
Dishonoured - £3
Dishonoured 2 - £4
Prey - £6
Bioshock Collection - £6
Alien Isolation - £6 (Too scary for me)

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the specific site or link them but I found all of these on a CD key site. All of which can be activated through Steam.

Like others have said Witcher 3 if u have not played it , will keep u gaming for a long time :)
Looks good - maybe worth waiting for the 'next generation' refresh next year though?

Wow, but hang on, I'm a complete nube here, how are their different prices for the same game through Steam? How does Good Old Games compare to Steam? Can anyone provide a decent explanation on how to buy games these days? Last game I bought came on a CD from Electronic Boutique!

I'm not sure you've even missed a lot, some good and very good games, but not loads. We've had some decent remasters and remakes surprisingly. Doom/C&C/Resident Evil 2/Halo 2 from memory. Even things like Medievil, Crash Bandicoot, Abe's Odyssey and others had remakes. SW Battlefront 1 and 2 both got remakes, but suck.

I've mostly been playing mods/old games. You could take a look at Stalker Call of Chernobyl if you want a hard atmospheric fps with zero hand holding, unlike most games today. It's a free stand alone game built off the original games from ~2010.

Destiny 2 has a free campaign. I've not really played it as played original and because it's basically a pretty fps that lacks any depth. It's mostly a multiplayer loot box simulator. I *only* mention as free and pretty.

These days it's very much about FPS games, loot, and graphics. It's kind of a poor showing imo.
