In the summer I really enjoyed drinking Michelob Ultras, light in alcohol, light in taste (I don't really like the taste of most beer), and I could drink all day long, whereas traditional largers would see me passed out within 3-4 hours.

Complete blasphemy to real beer drinkers, but I don't give a crap what anyone thinks. :D

Adams do several lagers that might drag the OPs friend’s tastebuds away from ditchwater.

The Dry Hopped one is very drinkable - even non-beer drinkers like it.

Failing that, any decent continental blond bier should work.

I quite like the taste of Budlight but its like drinking pop. I've drank 12 bottles before on a evening in with friends and felt stone cold sober afterwards. I probably did quite a bit of exercise too as it doesn't stay in your system very long.

It's the trailer party beer for this very reason. Cheap, refreshing and plentiful. It has it's place and fills it so. We had/have shandy and the Americans have light. I personally prefer light.
