Lo' all

Interested in purchasing a black or dark brown leather sofa (2 seater and 3 seater), DFS Land of Leather etc are very poor quality right?

How about Ikea, Argos?

Any recommendations of places to invest money in a quality leather sofa

Cheers

And you will need to declare it SORN, if you dont intend to use it on the roads.
:D

got ours form land of leather, just go have a feel at them, you can tell if they are rubbish quality of not, some of the ones we felt were like rubber, but there were some really nice ones as well, really need to just go round and have a look

Barker and Stonehouse, John Lewis, Fenwicks basically for good stuff. DFS, SCS Land of Leather for cheaper stuff no where near the same quiality but about 1/3 of the price.

I think the 2 leather chairs and 2 seater leather sofa we got from land of leather aint to bad really, they are recliners and think it came to like £1300 for the lot with extra warranty thing if they become damaged for 3 years which was £150 i think on top.

I would'nt ever buy sofa's from argos though as we was with out decent furniture in the living room for over 6 months as we had 2 lots delievered to us which had faults and we then selected something which cost more and was a pretty nice set but we only got like the 2 chairs and the 2 seater became discontinued apparantly, we got messed about so much so just got our money back and went to land of leather and got one delivered in like 3 week's which came fault free.

I would never recommend argos for things like that as the experience we had and the fact its always an advantage to see the sofa's in person before ordering as you'll only need to pack it back up if you dont like it which is a pain in the butt.

Make sure you try out a few different ones, as there is a huge difference quality (usually price too ;)). I thought I found a nice one in B&Q or somewhere but after trying another in a specialist (in Bath), there was a massive difference!

I was looking at the same sort of thing this time last year. Best of the retail park chains was Furniture Village, then Harveys. Land of Leather, DFS, SCS didn't seem to be built to the same standard.

My Mum swears by MultiYork - their's cost an fortune (3k+. Built to a very high standard with all sorts of custom options.
