Good small team based MP game?

I didn't really enjoy KF and Borderlands. Found them both pretty repetitive, and levelling systems in FPS always seems to be pointless grinds.

I'd go for lead and gold, since it doesn't force you to play the same class over and over

I couldn't agree more with KF. I can understand the point in it, but it was done so badly. It should've been more focused on what role the class should fulfil instead of (mostly) arbitrary damage points and even more so, shouldn't have taken so stuipidly long to reach max level. It is very awkward for a new player.
Borderlands i disagree though, its supposed to have roles and there are many different roles you can play with each character depending on whether you're going solo or multiplayer. But the levelling does make the pacing of the game incredibly awkward.
 
Killing Floor...

Got it yesterday after my housemate had been pestering me to DL it over the past few months (didnt want to as people compare it with L4D/2, and i personally find those games rubbish) but i was extreamly surprised with this... downloaded and havn't stopped playing it since. Even got up early this morning to have a game before work.. never before has this been done :p
