Ive been doing a little recording on Cubase with my guitar but with my onboard soundcard i am getting like half a second delay or so. What soundcard would anybody recommend? or is there a way to minimise delay on my onboard?

I can also recommend Emu gear for Cubase, I have an 1820m myself (not in production anymore) but the aformentioned 0404 is supposed to work particularly well. I don't really like m-audio gear, I've had a 192 and a Delta 1010 (both from M-Audio), I found the UI clunky and their implimentation in Cubase was a bit tricky imo.

I don't know about the emu's music production and recording capabilities, but it is an excellent card with a good variety of connections.

Thanks for all your help. Sounds like the emu cards are looking good. Those drivers also worked well. dropped from 176 ms of delay to 1.3 ms :D Thanks.
