Check this game out guys. I came out in August just past and I haven't played it yet bit it looks amazing to me, a seemingly brilliant effort at a modern game with classic 2D gameplay. It's called Evil Genome: http://steamcommunity.com/app/635250 . Fingers crossed for the sale tomorrow...

Fingers crossed. 2018 looks to be a good year for games so the more the merrier.

Off the top of my head the biggest 2018 releases I'm looking forward are Metro Exodus, Far Cry 4 & State of Decay 2.

It mentions a lot about curing nostalgia and being a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital which I feel is a bit of a mistake on their part. It looks like they're going for a more realistic and in-depth game than Theme Hospital. I personally don't mind this, I'm after a really in-depth management game and feel that a medical setting (if done well) has a lot to offer.

Forgot to mention Phantom Doctrine - alternate 1980s cold war espionage, with XCOM style turn-based gameplay.

I love the art style. The picture of the man in the embedded video really gives me the creeps, kind of like when you were a kid and wanted to be scared!

I did initially think that the character was a woman but in either case, it still adds up to being creepy.
