Ok... I'll throw this one out and see what you all think.

Currently planning a build for a 2nd rig, going to be used for video encoding and photo editing and general media type stuff. Just to keep all that away from my gaming rig!

Anyway, today I spied tucked away in a corner of a local shop (Ca** Conve****s) a 2nd hand rig for £199.99 including a rubbish monitor and a keyboard. After a bit of prodding and detective work I was able to identify the following parts

Q6700
WD Caviar Green 1TB HDD
what appears to be a Zalman CNPS10X - Quiet type cooler
Vid card and MOBO unknown
OS XP Pro

A good price for donor parts? Your thoughts please

If you're looking to overclock, the P35's are just as good with the quad 65nm parts as the P45's are, if you are going to replace the MB, don't spend that much on it!

2nd hand the Q6700, cpu cooler and the HDD would work out at approx £160. It's also got a DVD RW and other unknown parts (vid card, case etc) that I can sell on so spending a little on a better board than the one fitted? would not be a problem as far as I can see.

Thanks for your thoughts so far
