And if I had been in the thread I would have said to make sure it had some sort of antighosting technology, other people know more about how the keyboards work but I got a Microsoft 600 keyboard and every 30seconds - 1 minute it would feel like I had pressed a key without response if I was holding down a few other keys. (Playing FPSs)
I got a Saitek Cyborg V1 for £10 and it has been great, you don't have to spend a lot but don't get any old thing.
Probably a good choice - if it's filthy then i'd suggest spending a bit of time removing the keycaps and cleaning it out, can make a noticeable difference.
I'm in the market for a new keyboard and was going to go for the Sidewinder X4 however I'm now thinking about going mechanical. Can someone who knows more about them answer this for me.
Regarding the NKRO I understand that using a PS/2 connection means there is no limit to the number of keys you can push down at the same time, however USB is limited to around 6 (apart from the X4). Since my mobo doesn't have any PS/2 ports and I want to use the PS/2 port on the keyboard with the adapter than is included (USB>PS/2) would I lose the ability of full NKRO? Simply- does using a USB to PS/2 adapter mean I have full NKRO or am I limited to 6 keys?
I was thinking of getting the QPAD mechanical board.
As far as i'm aware there's no way to do NKRO over USB, and with USB you get the possibility of other devices using up the controller and messing with your keyboard. Strange for a motherboard not to have any PS/2 ports, what is it?
I would always recommend a G15 Gaming Keyboard, I got this a few months back and have never had complaint or issue with it. Macro keys and LCD displays make this an awesome little piece of equipment!
