Hi i want to get a good cooler for my core i7 build. im stuck between either water or cooling. could someone put me in the right direction. im looking to spend less the £100 for a good cpu cooler were there its air or liquid.

Also with water cooling how often do i have to refill the coolant. and is it a pain in the ass? :)

Thanks

£100 is seriously pushing it for a watercooling kit.
It can be done, but I'd question the quality of it.

As for refilling - it doesn't generally need refilling, just topping up from time to time.... either a T-line or a reservior is a good bet filled with a small funnel. PITA?? If you normally clean out your CPU of dust every 3-4 month like I do then it's no more a pain than doing that...... actually it's less of a pain than that!!

As above, you would need to up your budget to about £150 to get semi decent watercooling loop. That my opinion after doing some research and buying a watercooling loop at xmas.

People seem to be going for noctura (sp?) for the i7.

For £100 or less I would go a good air cooler.

If you are going to go water, you may as well go for it properly, otherwise your long term plan will be to swap nearly everything in time with better components and basically wasting your money on the 'in the mean time' parts that will get junked or sold for half what you paid for them! And probably not get as good a result as a decent air cooler!
