I have a DIR615 which has been rock solid to be fair. My issue though is that I live in a flat which has very well built walls, fantastic for insulation, but it handicaps the wireless signal.

Seems like a good excuse to get a decent WLAN access point...which ones are good in terms of range, and of course rock solid?

You are probably best buying a wireless router and disabling dhcp etc. Most are cheaper than access points from a value point.

I have some Aruba 93's AP's sitting in the car for work, wish i could try one at home to see what they are like for home use.

Edit, Have you tried high gain aerials for your dir615? They did wonders for my 655.
