Good work guys (Folding@home)

Been looking at our team stats the last few days and we've got back over 300,000 average and done 374,919 in the last 24 hours! I know I'm still new to this but its a good increase. Hopefully I'm making a good contribution

I think so, we have our ups and downs, need to get my FAH rig up and running again, but I think we need more help, maybe a link on the overclockers home page to this forum

Haha if only I was permitted to do that. I've been folding everday since last Thursday, on my rig at home (2x 480's and 970) and then on my 875K and 260GTX. Storming through the ranks atm, gonna get some bigadvs folding kater I think.

Sounds good, I have free Electric at the moment, but the power supply on my rig has died, and cant afford to replace it... need 600w I think since I am running a Q6600 and 2 x 8800GTXs

Yeah 600w minimum. I'd go for a Corsair 750w tbh, got 2x pci 6 pin and 2x pci 6+2 pins, so enough connections and future proofing for more powerful cards and setup (i7 480 sli

Yer I also have an i5 setup that I'm thinking about folding but not sure at the moment.

Corsair 750w I wish I could afford that!

It's good to have some new blood in the team and see the tell tale spikes of bigadv dumpage

Although I've seen you creeping up on me in the PPD chart! :eek:

Quite a few of the regular folders are down and out for one reason or the other, so hopefully they will be back at some point and boost the team even more. It would be great to get the team moving up the ranks again.

Agreed - Good to see new members flying up the ranks. Even I am managing to scale the dizzy heights of the top ten - where are all the old folders these days - slackers I say

Im not quite down and out yet but i am battling with my rig to keep her folding properly
Im still trying to work out what is causing her to stop folding and freeze yet still allow windows to keep the clock running in the background unafected til i try and open something.
There doesnt seem to be any specific time period, and at present ive ruled out drivers as ive tried 4 versions and still get the same problems.

I was catching you up a bit, but I can only get 33k-40k PPD from my machines. Should be enough to keep Nath from parping me any time soon

If I had that sort of money spare I could get a pair of quad core xeons and have a second machine producing bigadv units, giving me an extra 15k ppd. I think I will wait for those days to come about
