Good work guys (Folding@home)

Im not quite down and out yet but i am battling with my rig to keep her folding properly
Im still trying to work out what is causing her to stop folding and freeze yet still allow windows to keep the clock running in the background unafected til i try and open something.
There doesnt seem to be any specific time period, and at present ive ruled out drivers as ive tried 4 versions and still get the same problems.

Well ive just completed a 4 hour stint running memtest on the memory and both sticks passed with flying colours, i was expecting there to be a couple of errors.
Back to the drawing board

It seems as though one of my GX2's has finnaly died and the other has now got issues running both gpu's as windows has stopped one.
Looks like i need a couple of new GPU's to resolve the issue properly.

Good for me in the short term - though I had noticed a purchase on the MM :p

Now no buying a couple of those nice looking GTX460s or I'll never catch you :D

as for a couple of GTx460's 1 maybie in a few weeks time i dont know about 2 though.
ive still got a gtx 280 sitting here that should be repairable as it only artifacts when loaded so the oven trick should resolve it will be trying that latter this week to see

I'm on hols at the mo this msg coming to you from the bar in the hotel :D

some stuff seems to have shiutdown itself or rebooted but enough is still going to keep you slackers honest :p

Excellent work! We are now out producing Ukraine so won't be getting stomped by them this week after all :)

I think you should do some temporary good deals on PSUs and GPUs for us foldy types.

Unrelenting deals questions are unrelenting. Lolz, no man I can't do that for you. I can clock your rig up for you if you bring it in, but I can't give you cheap stock :p

Back on topic, we just need get our average PPD to over 400K and we're sorted! (for now:D)

My rigs going no higher than 3.6 without new memory, the geil value is already running a 150mhz overclock and a hefty overvolt. I can only see it getting another 200mhz, I doubt an athlon binned deneb is going to be good for 4ghz

Can you not drop the divider any lower or slacken off the timings on the RAM to squeeze some more out of it?

Sweet :D I'm on my second P2685 now. I can get through 1 in 2 days 9 hours, hopefully I don't have my internet down for 6 hours after the end of the unit again :o

Yea, uping and lower FSB and NB speeds. I can hit 278FSB with a 3:8 divider but if I drop it im lucky if it'll boot above around 230 FSB. I think its due to it being a very budget board. I cant complain at getting 3.6 out of a quad on a £55 board though

That is very good. I was using an Opteron 165 with a DFI LanParty UT SLI-DR but the chip was a known crap clocker, couldn't get more than 2.6 from it but better steppings got 3+
