So, finally hit the 2GB VRAM limit @ 1920x1080, yes it was GTAV.
I was in need of an upgrade anyway because generally it's not really keeping up as much any more, it doesn't help that it's a poor overclocker. I've decided to get something now because i'm really getting into GTAV, and buy another later.
As for budget, looking at £400, maybe stretch to £450 as an absolute maximum to spend now and maybe the same in a couple of months time, so it's looking like a GTX 980 to me.
I am going to be sticking at 1920x1080 @ 120hz until at least January next year where i might go to 2560x1440 @ 120hz. I have no interest in 3840x2160 UHD currently due to the cost and grunt required. So this says to me that waiting and going for a single Titan X would just be silly anyway.
