I get that apps crash. You can still power the phone off and back on? No biggy not having a reboot option.
In the meantime, don't use crap apps
It's useful now and then and not limited to when apps misbehave either. All the third-party skins seem to have it already - but then it took us years to get a battery percentage on stock Android too!

So preview 2 seems to completely messed my device up. Went from MM to N DP1 with no issues, factory reset to back to MM no issues.
Went from MM to DP2 and then back after a few days. Now OTAs failing for MM, I'm getting There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for details, locked Bootloader/not rooted. As well as "Warning about operating system safety"
Even tried factory image MM 6 and still won't clear the errors. Running DP2 seems to be fine for those issues but the general bugs sent me back to MM.
Now my device is stuck on Google booting up after another failed OTA

So yes my device was soft bricked but because my bootloader is locked I can't reflash the factory image. So if you are playing around with N DP make sure you have your bootloader unlocked.
Fair play to Google, called them Saturday 10am to log the issue and they have already shipped my replacement.

Is this boot loader part correct? Ive not read it before....
Yes if you have a locked bootloader you can not flash Factory images! So any issues with OTA you have a soft brick, you can not fix it with a locked bootloader.

Having a locked bootloader will not allow you to erase the system partition.
Anyways I got my new device today and I shall be staying away from DP. I'll wait for the official release.
Yeah I had no issues from MM to DP1 and back but something wasn't right from DP2 to MM. Even after flashing the full factory image my device wasn't right. Might of just been one of those things, dunno.
I've kept my bootloader locked but enabled the unlocking and ADB in DEV options just in case of any future issues. Should be able to unlock if all goes Pete Tong.

And I just put 6.0.1 back on my Sony Xperia Z3 because the old preview was slow and buggy
