Google Android Beta Program - Android N

Anyone else have a bug in Instagram where videos (including advert vids) overlay on top of images?

If it wasn't for that and Skype for Business being completely broken I could use it as a daily driver.

Its happening!

Apparently none of the leaked new features are present though  No new nav bar, no fingerprint scanner gesture, no double tap to wake, new blue setting menu...

Hey guys, I have a 6P which is currently running Marshmallow - bit confused as to why I can't get the Nougat update? Just checked and it says system is up-to-date ... does Google release in batches/per territory or something?

As far as I'm aware, 7N isn't out officially yet, except for the beta program. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

EDIT: I was wrong. It's just out of beta, so yeah, you should get an update soon.

According to the help article on the 'About phone' section in my 6P settings, devices bought from the Google play store should receive updates within 2 weeks of initial release.

Can anyone confirm whether the Barclays app works with Nougat? That can be a bit fruity when it doesn't know devices or the OS version.

It's a staggered rollout. Usually this is partly in case unforeseen problems appear and partly to ensure the servers can cope. So long as you use pure stock you'll get the update within a week or two at the latest.

I haven't had the update notification yet either, but it will appear soon enough.

Yes, device OTAs are always rolled out like this, just in case something really bad is noticed by the people who get it first.

I've just flashed it on to my Nexus 9. Nice and smooth so far, so hoping this update may have fixed the sluggishness of stock Android on the device. Probably expecting a miracle though and need to be back on a custom rom to get anywhere near a usable experience.

So I'm not impressed with 7 if I'm honest. It's messed up things. I use swift key and even though I'm signed in with my google account in that, it hasn't brought down my cust set up. I cannot for life of my get my keyboard looking right. I have font and display both set to small in the android settings but the text on my keyboard still look huge!

Any ideas how to reduce that font size? Also, where have my arrow keys gone? There's usually an option to have arrow keys along the bottom :(

EDIT: Sorted it. Set display size to one up from small and it's back to how it was.

Booting up is noticeably quicker but the device generally seems more stuttery and sluggish now.
