How did this case even get to court? I know this is very similar to the Pirate bay case but what do they actually aim to acheive?

They [Google staff people] face up to three years in prison if found guilty.

Am I the only one that thinks this is slightly skewed?

What the hell? So from what I understand, four google employees may be facing jail time because a youtube/google video hit comes up when you search for it? Isn't that the point of google? If you search for "down's syndrome bullied video", of course something will pop up, and I'd say the issue is more with the people searching for/uploading/doing it, than google.

All it needs is one of those appeals to get the hit removed. Like when it says "this link was removed from google search results due to a complaint". Not a court case.
