Google desktop running about a million process

Hi,

I downloaded and installed the newest Google Desktop again hoping that it'd just be the the search bar and nothing else.

This new one includes everything which runs windows media player in the background, about 5 other processes etc. all running the side bar which I don't use at all.

Is there any way to stop all these processes so I just have the ones running that I need for the search bar & indexing please?

Before you download it I seem to remember it giving you boxes to tick for which things you need?

I think that's for the google essentials pack isn't it?
