Just spoke to BT.......

They are saying its a major BTNet platform problem, possibly even a global issue.

If service is resummed fully within the hour, let them know and they will advise further.

For everyone who is affected - any sites using google analytics will be slow because of this issue. I've disabled that piece of javascript using no script in firefox so I can continue surfing until home time.

We've had issues in my office (Berkhamsted, Herts) this afternoon, started about 3 o'clock, yet 14 miles up the road at home my BT Broadband is working fine? Hoping to have it all back and working tomorrow as has been a royal pain not being able to hit some of our online systems. Strange how some sites come up and others are down. OCuk always worked though but Google and others not.

Good question, I doubt it unless there was major natural disasters simultaneously around the world. Think I read somewhere they have there data centres located so that its very very unlikely.
