Google Drive showing video files but they aren't viewable in folders in Windows 10?

What kind of sorcery is this?

I went to find a video file and it had disappeared. I went to look in Google Drive and it's still there? Note, other files are showing on both my Windows 10 drive and Google Drive. It's just video files...

I then downloaded the file from Google Drive and put it back in the folder AND now Google Drive has two files!?!?

It seems Windows 10 is not showing the video files I had uploaded to Google Drive.

Other video files are viewable in Windows 10.

POS dumb product, I had to download everything from Google Drive, remove all the files from local hard drive and put the downloaded files back into the local Google Drive directory.

Which leads me to question how were my local video files deleted in multiple local sections but stay on Google Drive? If the files are deleted locally, the files on Google Drive should go to the Google Drive Recycle Bin. They didn't. Seriously, WTF!

Anyone else have issues with Google Drive, my backup doesn't seem so secure after this.

I'm not sure to be honest, what would you suggest?

Ideally having a backup plan if Google Drive or myself messes something up.

Proper backup instead of sync.

Duplicati v2 is free and compatible with Google Drive. Let me know if you need any help with the configuration.

I do have Acronis True Image backing up just my OS.

Will Duplicati do the same thing? What's the difference?

Oh, I see. So Duplicati takes over Google Drive's sync software and also encrypts the data into a zip file?

So if Google Drive messes up a sync, then I can use the zip file to access lost files? Sweet.

"Error reading from file duplicatixxx.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

Syncovery will make an onsite duplicate of files and have real time sync protection?

I only have off-site backup for my OS, probably won't be getting backup for other files (not high priority) until I upgrade my 2x2TB mechanical hard drives for SSD's, so I could use the old drives as off-site backup.
