Google infinite scroll?

Anyone else had this recently as it's happened a few times now that it takes forever to get to the bottom of the page?

I'ved just started seeing it on windows in chrome/opera browsers I common use - I need to do some digging on noscript options & reddit to make it stop, the content just seems to get repeated;

I haven't experimented to see if being logged-in/out from google makes a difference,

but without paging you cannot re-find material if you subsequently repeat the google and have to scroll down some arbitrary amount.

I found one userscript that brings back pagination.
