Google: List under search result.

Does anyone know why or how some websites get their sub pages listed like the above on Google?

I think it's something that Google auto-generate if the website is big enough and those links are getting a lot of hits.

Google will even place a search box in the results as well if a lot of people are going to the site and then searching straight away, to cut a step out for the user.

Yeap google determines who gets them based on traffic and what links are most popular. Theres nothing you can do to get them apart from increasing traffic to your website.

Submitting a sitemap will help, but as said you need to have a certain level (read: pretty damm high) of traffic before it happens.

These are called authority listing iirc. You need loads of quality content, pagerank, backlinks etc. Just have a look at some of the sites that have authoriuty links, you'll see the level you need to be at
