Google maps not working for me

Hi anyone else having a problem. I cannot get goole maps to work.

When i go there I just get nothing. The page opens but wont show any maps?

I am using IE8 and XP Pro SP3

you need to reinstall IE8's java applet, the latest version has a bug with google maps, you can either wait for google to update their plugin or java to update their sdk. but the roll back would work just as well.

I hate IE8. I was expecting so much - but its just IE7 with some chocolate sprinkles.

btw Im assuming you cleared all cache's?

Still not getting it to work. on IE8, have deleted cookies, still just loads the page. then does nothing. cannot see any maps.

AArgh why is this not working. I cannot de install IE8 and use Ie7 as it wont let me. This is plain stupid. Google maps wont load anything for me.

Someone must be able to help

Yeah, Firefox works fine with google maps now.

Just getting used to Firefox. Is it any better than IE8 etc, and if so, why is it better and why should I use it please?

Basically no two people have the same version of Firefox because of all the plugins you can get for it.
You can also install your own search engines.
I've re-wrote a small plugin called Slimsearch that takes me to different searches.
It beats IE hands down.

FF > IE 1.8

You'll be used to it within a couple of days.
