Anyone used Google Maps in one of their apps/web pages?

If I have a webpage that has a GoogleMap on it, AND I add pushpins/markers onto the map, where does the bandwidth of the map come from?

Is is direct from Google or from the site hosting the map?

I would imagine it's still coming from google as you would have to be hosting the actual map images for it to be coming from your servers.

As mentioned before. Google Maps, Virtual Earth, Yahoo Maps, and Multi Map are all pulled directly from there site. Usually embedded into your site via javascript. There are a limit for the number of requests from the IP (your server) not sure on Google, but Yahoo limit there's to 5,000 requests per day.

Cheers folks, don't think we'll be hitting 5,000 requests per day, but it was things like people banging F5 a few times to update details and was wondering where the actual bandwidth came from.

Thanks again.
