Google Music

Just thought, does this have any effect on the play market?

For example, if i setup GoogleMusic, will TV Shows/Magazines suddenly show in the market for me?

Nope, no music, TV or magazines available for me. "Play Magazines" app appears on my phone, but it just takes me to the Play store where they aren't available.

Just thinking of every eventuality.

So for people who did this when GoogleMusic came out, were the movies added fine to the play store at a later date?

This is annoying, trying it over TOR and even though the exit node is the US, its still saying "not supported in your country". :(

I signed up using a proxy but got bored after uploading about 100 songs :p Plus if I remember correctly Google Listen doesn't work on my account because it's a Google Apps account (my own domain). Or is Google Music a separate app?

I think I would use it but I can't be bothered to upload all my music!

Music is separate to listen.
They're killing off listen soon I think.

I might give it another whirl now I've got my new One S. It'll put me off from subscribing to Spotify for a bit anyway :p

EDIT: Nope I remember why I gave up on it. Not being able to select what tracks to upload is a total oversight on their part. I can't be bothered to upload 62GB of Music before I get to the tracks I actually want :p

Is it that hard to wri.. no wait..

Good idea. I take it Music doesn't link back to the folder in any way? So I can upload, then delete the copies?

Any ETA for a UK service yet??

I'd really love to get this on my Nexus S but I really don't want to mess anything up regarding my account. Are people still using Tor to set up Google Music or is there a better way now??

Now I have GiffGaff I can mothball my Ipod Video and use my Nexus S for everything if I can get Google Music working. My Nexus S also has a nice Wolfson DAC built in :)

Also, all my tracks are AAC. Can you upload them to the cloud??

Thanks.

It seems google has a 20k song limit as opposed to a file size limit.

This means I'd like to upload my music in the best possible quality.

Now I'm sure 320 mp3 will work.

Is q0 Ogg an option? Or Flac?

Bandwidth isn't really an issue, but time is so I'd like to do it right first time.

Edit, it seems stuff gets transcoded to 320 mp3 anyway so I'll just upload everything as a 320.

Is anyone aware of any limit on song length?

I've got a few audiobooks that are hours long yet are a single mp3 file

So you have to select files to be uploaded? Or can I just point it at a folder on my server and tell it to keep it in sync?

You can point it at a folder.

It doesn't seem to be working for me though. It uploads some stuff but I get an error with others (same filetype) frustrating :(
