Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

Read that wrong then fella , my mistake. Actually missing the Mate 20x's screen size to be honest , gave the UI a less cluttered feeling than the Pro does.
I went from the S20 ultra and despite being a smaller phone by a bit, it feels bigger. I also like the more square corners compared to the rounded ones, that's cause I loved it on my note 9 too

First impressions of P6 are good for me, fingerprint reader works fine. It doesn't feel like a massive upgrade from my OnePlus 7t (would anything?) and I can see why some wouldn't like the weight/bulk but overall I'm happy with the new handset. :)

The weight and size arent a problem for me I find, as the phone I had before was bigger and heavier. Only thing Im not a fan of is that my mug self didnt buy a case and the phone feels like Google dipped it in lube before sending out :D. Got one for delivery tomorrow now though, Im not taking any risks.

Who's all going without case and screen protector?

I'm tempted by a fitbag sleeve https://www.fitbag.com/beat-cognac-custom-tailored-phone-sleeve

But also

Anyone seen a good aramid type case for the p6 yet? Got one on my flip 3 and it's perfect - good protection but very thin and lightweight.

A nice shell style thin case would be perfect as well, will probably get both.

Another strange charging thing last night, I have a Lenovo smart clock and charge my phone via USB in that overnight, my mate 20 had never had any issues charging. The P6 though, went on last night at just gone midnight at around 10%, this morning at 7:30am it was only at 75%... Maybe I need to turn off the adaptive battery to charge based on my alarm, as I don't have one set on my phone, only on my alarm clock (and watch, and lights...:p)

Might be a silly question, but is there a way to limit the Mobile Data to 3G on the Pixel? I can do it on my S20 Ultra but I cant for the life of me find it on the Pixel. The only reason I do this is because for some reason where I work the 4G is god awful and ya may aswell not have any data, but 3G works perfectly fine.

I added an appointment from SMS to calendar bit for some reason it did it in US format and thus wrong month. Is there a setting I need to change to sort that? Can't find anything obvious.
Date format is fine generally it was just when doing that.

So what are we saying about cases? Spigen Liquid Air and Dbrand Grip are on my list, any others? (6 Pro)

Spigen Ultra Hybrid I have this case on every phone

Anyone finding major issues with Bluetooth and usb connectivity. I connected my phone to Android auto today and it was worse than useless.
My s10e previously did disconnect a few times in a journey but seemed to settle down after 10 minutes and keep a connection. The 6 this morning just constantly connected then disconnected using same cable as was used before. I had to end up disconnecting it.
I now find that my android wear watches can't keep a Bluetooth connection and are almost immediately disconnecting after being paired.
Teething problems i hope.
Final wee question, i normally use a calendar app on my home page but find that the Google wallpapers have a date and time showing at top where i would normally place this.
Is there a way other than going back to Nova launcher to remove the clock and date from home screen.
Thank you.

My caseology case has just arrived. Don't like it, prefer the Spigen one. Just looks a bit cheap (which it is), but it's only £1 cheaper than the Spigen which doesn't look cheap.

It's a shame, as I was hoping it would be like the oneplus sandstone case which I loved.

First impressions of Android auto and it's much much faster to connect than my Mate 20 Pro. That does have the odd issue of it losing connection so will see what happens with the pixel.

Even one plus sandstone cases have been meh lately. The one I had with my 8t was crap. I'm currently with a cheap ringke while I get used to the size and might pop it off later lol. Love the coral colour and really don't want to hide it with a case. It's bulky too. I'll wait for those slim hard shell cases to come out and maybe get one of them.

My p6 has been faultless on car connectivity, and so has my blue tooth to wireless ear buds and speaker.

What are these launchers that everyone uses?(this is my first Google phone and I'm a noob)

I do prefer the ultrasonic in screen sensor that I've tried to this one - but I prefer the back finger print sensor even more, but it seems good enough.

Is there a camera update due out soon I heard?

Nova Launcher is excellent. Just allows you to customise your home screen a lot more than the default Pixel Launcher. I'd also advise paying for Nova Launcher Prime; it's only a few quid and gives you a lot more options.

I had issues this morning with Android Auto to the point that I left it disconnected and listened to the radio instead. The battery icon on the screen was flickering between charging and a full battery constantly before it disconnected.
Wonder if it struggles with what to do with power when the battery is fully charged. When I drove home after work yesterday there was no issues, but the battery was around 70% so was taking a charge normally.

You should already have it, 8.4.167 is the version number for the latest one
