You do... I don't run one and all my previous phones had hairline scratches. Not ones you can see while using but if you want your phone to be in top condition then yeah, a screen protector is not a bad idea. I don't like how they feel and the dust that collects around the notch area etc so never use one.

My 18 month old abused poco f2 pro has nothing that I can see (probably has) but nothing that affects use at all. I have abused this too, mountain biking, thrown on the ground to get photos, left on the floor, used in the kitchen to cook with etc, left in pocket with keys/change. I get it won't be perfect, but surely not 'perfect' is better than limiting the use of the device.
 
Android Auto worked fine yesterday, but today I'm getting a message that it can't connect and says usually this is due to the cable... Weird.

Oh I don't disagree with you! But each to their own in my opinion. Every other manufacturer is able to get the FPS and screen protector working so Google is just not being thorough on their testing.

Yeah, true especially if it effects sales.
 
Took the phone with me last night to York alongside my Note 10+ 5G and after using them side by side all evening, have to say that I rate the FPS below that of the Samsung and that's a 2 year old phone at this point.

I just got used to tapping the screen with my finger but here I have to hold it, so while accuracy or speed is ultimately the same to unlock the phone it's a little disappointing as this is meant to be the latest tech. I do also feel they missed a trick not putting front firing speakers on the bottom, especially seeing how that's the biggest bezel.

Other than that I'm seriously impressed with the phone, especially for the money. Ultimately though I think I'll be returning it, but that's on me because as I felt before, I really should have went for the Pro version to make it feel like a substantial upgrade that I'll keep for a year or two.
 
Got the official charger, it says 2h to full and if I plug in the charger from the 5 it also says 2h so not sure what benefit I'm getting here.
Unless the estimate is off.

Spoiler. Its not very fast when compared to the likes of OnePlus. I found it only pulls 22w peak.

Old 18w pixel charger does 10 to 47% in 30m

45w pps charger does 10 to 57% in 30m.

Yeah the only difference is it actually manages to charge faster whilst I'm also using the phone whereas the pixel 5 seem to stagnate
 
That's why I didn't bother with the new brick. My thinking is, if it lasts a day and can charge over night then I don't care how slow it is as long as it's ready in the morning. Currently I have yet to get below 20% battery before dumping it on my slow wireless charger for the night.
 
I just turned off animations. Some have remained so buggy, but not had any adverse reactions (I didn't like the bump stops when scrolling).

Starting to think about my sim package.

o2, 15GB 5G data (limited coverage so far) for £8/month with EU roaming
EE, 10GB 5G data (better but still patchy 5G coverage) for £10/month

Currently paying just over £12/month for 4GB 4G data.

I'm thinking switch to o2? Used to spend about 2 weeks a year in Europe so would cost around £30 extra a year with EE. So £96/year versus about £150.
