Yes absolutely. We can't use tempered glass there.
I don't see how not being able to use a screen protector is so much an issue.

I think the problem is the manufacturer fitted screen protectors can end up going a bit funny after a while and they aren't screen protectors in the normal sense but more an integral layer of the screen.I don't see how not being able to use a screen protector is so much an issue.

Fair enough, it was probably the stories from the original Fold that had made me think that then. They're not an integral part of the screen, at least not in the case of the Galaxy Fold 2. The original Fold had a layer of plastic that reviewers confused for a protector and ended up breaking their screens.
The screen protector on the Fold 2 you could absolutely remove, which I did and replaced with an aftermarket one. The original OEM protector had this tacky like feel to it which many people didn't like.
Unless phone manufacturers find a way of breaking the laws of physics, you're never going to have a folding tempered glass protector. I've had my Fold 2 now for over two years, and even with it's stupid design where there's a large gap when folded closed, nothing has got in and damaged the inside screen.

Yes you can't put temped glass there. Only screen protector you can apply is polyethylene terephthalate. There is a screen protector issue?

With a name like that I thought it'd be right up your street.£1,749!!!![]()
I didn't choose this name, the mods forced it upon me. You can see my previous name if you click on it.With a name like that I thought it'd be right up your street.
I can't wait for the Pixel Fold I've preordered to be delivered. The back cover of my Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 5G has started to come away from the frame, an issue for me as I've provided details to Google for trade in for the Pixel.
I was worried the battery was starting to swell, so I took the back panel off to see. It was so loose there was zero risk of cracking the back cover. Thankfully no swollen battery and an official replacement adhesive frame is £8 from eBay.
Really not happy with the quality of the Fold 2, the phone isn't even three years old and I'm confident the panel is coming away because of the stress put on the frame when you open and close the device.
I'll miss some things from Samsung, things like routines, but hopefully I can recreate them using something like Automate for Android (a similar app to tasker).
Has anyone who's preordered heard anything yet about delivery dates? It's supposed to be released on the 27th but apparently due to insane levels of interest, Google are unable to keep up with demand and have pushed the 'official' release date off to August.
