Google Search Field thinks it's a Password?

Hi,

For the last couple of days on my HTC Desire, when I go to the Google home page and type into the Search field whatever I type gets changed to black dots, as though it thinks I'm typing in a password.

Anyone else had this, and if so, how did you fix it?

I have had this problem as well. It only seemed to be since I clicked on iGoogle to see what it was.
Are you using the standard browser or another one? I was on Dolphin HD.
About 10mins ago my browser reset itself and since then it has been fine, I have however got a query open with Dolphin so if I get an answer about it I will let you know.

I'm using the standard one that was on the phone.

I've tried all sorts to try and fix it.

It only happens on the main Google page, if I put in a search and go to the results, the search field at the top of the page doesn't do it.

same problem thougt it was to do with the 2.3 update but clearly not. Using default browser

Freaky, I've had the same thing happen several times over the last few days.

Seems to be something to do with iGoogle from my experience. Have tried using Google, worked fine, then clicked on iGoogle and it started this password type input.
