I am creating some presentations that require images on the slides. Screenshots of websites to be precise.

I am finding an issue where over time the quality of the image is just terrible. Does anyone know why it does this, and is there a way to not effect the quality of the image on this?

This is making me lean towards making all of my presentations using Microsoft Powerpoint, but I like using Google Docs as I can keep it all online in one place. Is there a fix?

Save the high resolution images to your desktop, upload them to GDrive and then insert them directly into your GSlide.

This should fix the issue, as uploading to GSlide from your desktop or via URL will compress the image and basically screw the dimensions and quality up.

Its a common problem and an issue Google are yet to fix, been like that for years.

Does it look like that when in full screen?

From a bit of googling it looks like it might be a common problem with slides compressing the images.

I've just created one with a photo but can't see it getting compressed.

How are you inserting the photo?

Ah thank you, that sounds like a good idea. I've been dragging and dropping the images from my desktop straight to the slide. I guess that would help me organise the images too in a folder on GDrive. So by doing this it doesn't compress the images then? :)

Thank you Gypo.
