Actually, this has got me thinking. How many people could name more than 2 or 3 search engines of the top of their heads?

I used to used Alta vista but, changed to google.

I ask a lot of questions.
The ones i ask on here are just a very small percentage of what i cant find answers for :D
 
The worst thing is that all these people that do this dont realise how annoying it is for the rest of us :mad:

I mean, for gods sake, its 2006, if you think that the internet is google you quite frankly need a slap. It makes me wonder how these people get anywhere in life with as much common sense as a butterfly :confused:

Luckily most of my friends are fellow geeks :p
 
I blame Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and their obsession with Graphical User Interfaces. It has led to people forgetting how to READ! They just click on a little picture on the screen and think the computer's gonna read their mind and figure out what it is they want.
Give them a command line I say!:D
 
This isn't actually a go at ZIP. Hopefully he's learnt something and will search a bit better on Google.
This is a go at the people you have to tell over and over again and it doesn't sink in.
Google is for everybody and not just me.

Just for ZIP -
When searching you can put too many things in so just put keywords
eg
Little Britain Gay Village

To get a bit more exact use speech marks
eg
"Little Britain" "only gay in the village"

I usally do use small things. I was serching for little brittan
and i normally do use the " " things.

Watched the Aus vs Cheats game last night and then spoke to a friend til 5 am so lack of sleep was catching up on me so i was rushing it a bit
