Googlefu fail, what sort of pipe is this?

Even says so on the link.... PVC pipe, most likely same you use for plumbing/drainage, can get it at B&Q, screwfix etc.

Just go to wicked or b and q, search for pvc pipe or pipe...you'll ve better off going to a store as it looks like it needs to be able to bend quite easily

It's probably two or more bits with solvent welded joints at a guess.

You tend to only get it in 2-4 meter lengths as that's the most you'll get on/in most vans and anything longer is too unwieldy (the longer stuff tends to be far more flexible and sold on a roll for laying under the road/path/garden).

60mm seems excessive to me, it's not holding up any substantial weight

I'd go for 22mm pvc or 25mm mdpe but the latter will cost more

For example:

http://www.screwfix.com/p/jg-15bpex-41640-pe-x-pipe-15mm-x-3m/46140

In the pics it looks like its 3 pieces of pipe joined together anyway, I may be wrong but I'm not sure a single piece will bend that much anyway?

its in the comments 6m pipe by 5cm.

Hi Jimmy. The pipes are 6 metres (about 20 foot) long and 5 cm (2 inches) wide. They’re made from thick, strong plastic so I reckon you could extend them if you used a piece of wood or other inset at the join and used screws to hold the “adapter” in position. And don’t forgot our option of digging down for the central path, leaving the beds effectively raised and giving an extra bit of headroom. Hope that helps!

and further on she says they're 5.5m
Thanks! The pipes are 5 cm in diameter and 550 cm long. Hope that helps!

they also do 63mm if you want larger and different bar ratings, which I assume will affect wall thickness.

50mm blue MDPE water pipe will do nicely for this function. I've seen other polytunnels made with it. It is widely available at builders merchants or plumbing centres. You should find somewhere locally to buy a coil of 25m or 50m.

Polytunnels are ace by the way, I've had 2 from first tunnels over the years. I have one that I brought with me from my last house that I need to re-construct, maybe next year.

Thx PC, thats the plan, I am just debating making vs buying, so costing up.

The issue for me is the odd size we are allowed (2.5x3m) virtually no one makes this size so if I buy 2x3 I am losing 20% of the space.

Screwfix dont have the 50mm which I agree looks about spot on, online its available though but will check out a decent builders merchant to see whats there.
