So whats the deal if I change my googlemail address to a gmail address?

I am using my googlemail address with Android at the moment on my phone and tablet. Does Android know I've changed to gmail, or do I still have to log in with my googlemail account? It'll be a pain in the rear if I have to use both.

Thanks for any input.

On Android, I can login in with either (myemail)@gmail.com or (myemail)@googlemail.com

You can use either/or as far as I know.

If your on android, you log in with your account.

example; ashley.goldsbrough

Then it sets up my mail. Then again you should know this :)

Even in the browser, you don't have to login using @gmail or @googlemail

And when you sign up for say newsletters - you can use either of the above prefixes.

As far as i know, gmail/googlemail are recognised to be the same thing even when using WLM as your email application on your desktop pc.
