Gordon Ramsey's perfect burger

Mayo? No thanks. I know MrsS likes him, but that method looks like it's going to be hugely undercooked by most people who can't control and monitor temperatures easily.
 
Looks lovely but he didn't wash his hands after handling the raw burgers, and then went on handle the buns (steady on) and salad (actually onion, pepper grinder and grill handle).

He made an upside down burger.. fail. I cannot stand burgers with the rabbit food beneath the burger it has to be on top. He toasted his buns a bit so it's less severe of a crime though. Picking up a burger and having the bottom bun flop open and the salad falling out is a no no.

Yeah, can’t fault his pedigree and experience. He’s properly classically trained. Unfortunately being a brilliant chef doesn’t pay so good on him for branching out into TV even if I’m not a massive fan of his shows these days.

lol well said. Hairy Bikers are good fun to watch but i get the impression their recipes aren't actually all that great?

I made a decent burger on Friday. Good fatty mince, horseradish on one bun, ketchup on the other, roasted shallots, gherkins, toasted bun. Hngg!

Oh and an Ilkley stout to wash it down..
