GordyR's Beginners Guide to Bodybuilding

Can anyony recommend me some good forearm and wrist excercises to put into my workout?

Are you finding that these are holding you back from other compund exercise progression?

If so, and you really need to do them, static holds (say top of a deadlift or BB shrug), reverse curls, wrist curls or if you have access to one - wrist roller (think thats the name), supposed to be very good :]

Was going to use 30g before, 50g after workout

stick to 70-100g pwo. dont have your body digesting sugars before training thats just pointless. Make sure you have a shake with oats or a low GI carb meal about 1.5-2hrs pre-work out, that will ensure your blood and muscle glucose is topped up. Then whack the maltodextrin in your pwo shake.

For the record, and i mention this because no one seems to clarify it here, WMS = Waxy Maize Starch, a great pwo 'spiker'.

start with the diet m8, as i understand martial arts theres a lot of cardio involved. To aid the weight loss and increase core strength, start deadlifting and squatting regularly, as often as 4 times per week. But remember if your 17st and 5'10" then your diet is way off, sort it out

Question. I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago, I don't have any problems at all now. However was at the gym yesterday and basically this dude I usually talk to always goes on about stuff wrong with him etc and he said he had his gall bladder removed and can't eat dairy etc. So I said I had mine removed then he said it must affect your gains, I said no not as far as I know, then he said that im big but I could have been even bigger but the gall bladder removal holds me back. I think this is bs but oppinions? Im pretty happy with my gains tbh, im 18 and by the time im 20-23 I should be at the size I want to be.

as far as having gallbladder removed I really can't see that affecting your gains tbh. It may have slight affect on your fat absorption as you can't concentrate your bile acids as well, but whether that is truly affecting your ability to gain muscle I would say is very doubtful. sounds like he is grasping at straws to be honest, just like fat people thinking it's "all glandular"

actually i just need a mirror to check something really, think i might be letting my arse get too close to the floor from the start but it could just be me imagining it.

surely your break times are sufficient enough to have something to eat / drink and have a rest, that is the idea of breaks...

It depends what we are doing at the time.

Some days we just work straight through, like yesterday and only really eat on the move and not too much.

Either way eating much or not its still knackering and i get home and only feel like sitting down:o
