All of that?
how much weight is there (in plates)?

Doesnt look too bad from the pic at all, but then he's paid near on £600 for the lot
Do you get the bench as well?

Offer £250 and see what he says, its gotta be worth more than that, but no harm in trying!

If you do get it for £250, then bloody well done :D

I'd still have a days rest, even if you're not touching the same muscle group, your body still needs its rest. And it's during this rest that you get the muscle and strength gains

I'm thinking of buying a 20kg York kit of weights for £33. Is this a good deal? My current exercise regimen consists of compound exercises on my pullup bar, sit ups, football, and cycling. Would be worthwhile to incorporate weights to some of my normal exercises, like weighted sit ups etc?

Before someone else says it, 20kg is unlikely to last you very long at all before you need to add to it.

What are your goals here? What is your current regime in more detail? Do you go to any gym or is it only home exercise you want to do? If it is home exercise only then do you have space for a bench?

My goals are sort of vague: I want to increase my general endurance and strength. My legs are already very strong from cycling, but my upper body needs work. I feel like I've hit a plateau at the moment. I'm not terribly concerned about weight gain, although I could probably afford to bulk up a bit (150lb 5'9").

I exercise at home because I don't have the time or money for the gym. I probably have enough space for a bench.

My current exercise:
80+ pullups/chinups (alternating) 4 times a week.
100+ situps 4 times a week.
Cycle 4 miles mon-fri at a sprint. Usually cycle more than that at weekends. Good enough for my cardio?
Football on occasion.

Not a very well worked out routine, I know. Occasionally I swap pullups for press ups.

Your cardio should be fine. If you are going to be working out at home then I'd think you should be looking at more like 50kg of weights as a bare minimum, quite possibly more.

Have a squint at your local free ads paper and Craigslist/Gumtree sort of sites to see if anyone is trying to offload a bench and bar+weights, it should be a fair bit cheaper than buying new - I think about £1 per kg is usual although I could be wrong on that.
