Gorgeous Amateur Footage Of HD Camera's Ascent To Near-Space

Bit too much bashing in this thread tbh. Like to see some of you lot attempt the same thing.

It's a cheap phone with a GPS in, a balloon filled with stuff I could get from my uni and a light-weight insulating box with the lightest HD camera they could get in it.

The basic idea is $150...

It's not rocket science and Im planning with a few mates to do the same (albeit without a HD camera...)

Except it will be done using some form of aero package to stop it flapping about...

Go and do it, report back, and we'll criticize the poor quality of your footage/poor construction of the balloon/bad launch/unfashionable clothes of the guy launching the balloon.

So what if the footage was bad & shaky, it was better than the still photos the previous lot did so it was at least an improvement over that. It's not spectacular but they did it and that alone makes them cool.

Jeez  whiners.

I thought it was good , I like to see this sort of thing , thanks for the link .
But , some of the comments on youtube .............there really is some 'dumbos' ..............it's fake , theres no stars ,how do they know where it lands .
