Hey here is a wacky thought from someone who knows nothing about cars can you drop a Renesis rotary in an Elise? They are v.small light high revving engines.

plus its illegal to sell the vehicle when its still under lease, couldnt that result in losing the car for the buyer?

As long as the guy has something from the finance company stating that they are ok with him selling the car then there's nothing wrong with it at all.
