Pain Killer is quite gory if nones mentioned it, great game too

Manhunt is another, in fact thats probably goriest and might have even been banned at one point

Anyone play Severance: Blade of Darkness? From what I remember it was incredibly gory as you could cut off all of an enemies limbs and they would spurt blood all over the place.

I think there was an ability with the scimitar that could slice every limb off an enemy before they even hit the floor, which was pretty awesome.

Ahead of it's time IMO

SOF2 still looks pretty good in 1600 x 1200 highest graphics settings

Carmageddon 1 was pretty nasty when you could mince up cows, beach babes and old grannies "I was in the war"

..and if you're in a particularly sadistic mood, just run over all of the ~600 pedestrians in the level to win.

Although depending on which race it is, you can expect police vehicles to try to wreck you.

Dwarf Fortress

Another vote for Soldier of Fortune 2. Quite sick how you (but not me! Honest) can walk up to a corpse & blow chunks off its head.

And then you go out & buy something like Call of Duty 4, shoot someone full on with a rocket launcher...and watch them fall over?

SOF2 was the best for gore that actually added to the game, made it more fun, in a sick way. Shotgun to the knee was always my favorite
