yea it is, when your the predator you can rip out the human skull along with their spine when they are alive, with the alien you can make a massive hole in the human head with your giant tail and teeth!

Manhunt 1 is one of my favourite stealth games ever. The gore is just intense. Obviously it's a bit dated now, but it's still amazing.

god of war 3 without a doubt, you get to see a close up of you punching Hercules over and over until you can see his brain its really nasty, there also another couple of gory moments to list, tearing off the sun god's head (with your bare hands), gutting Cronos, tearing pieces of Hades eventually ripping open his head and finally cutting off hermes legs as he screams needless to say I was open mouthed for most of this can't believe how insane it was.

The suffering. Fantastic game as i'm sure many will agree, but very dated now.

Goriest game i've ever played has to be Deadspace 1&2

SOF on the Dreamcast. You could shoot someone in the face with a handgun and see right through their head lol.

Also blasting legs clean off with the shotgun was pretty fun.

I haven't had time to read the full thread but under no circumstances make the mistake of buying Soldier of Fortune 3 - it's nothing like the first two (which were some of my favourite games)...it was utterly appalling - avoid like the plague!
