Ive got 2GB of ram at the moment, specs are in my sig. Ive got some cash left over from my build, do you think it'd be worth me buying another 2GB the same as what ive already got ?

The only things that i've found use over 2gig for me is BF2 (upto 2.4), and DiRT (upto 2.3). Worth it though while the prices are low, imo.

With a Vista 64bit install, going from 2GBs to 4GBs I found it ran even smoother, than just with the 2GB (which was smooth and snappy as well).

"Justification" of it is a purely personal thing I think. ;)

A few new games?

If you really needed to spend £70 on your pc you would already know what you needed to buy.

If you sell it now you could probably get 70-odd quid for it so that's 140 quid and you're most of the way to a Q6600 if you can sweat it out with no machine for a couple of weeks.

i would consider converting to Vista as ive got an upgrade version at home. But is it any good for gaming ?

It's fine, dont know what people moan on about. ALL my games work in Vista 64, ALL my apps work (xfire, teamspeak), and all work well.

So what if you lose 20 points to xp in some benchmarking app, who really cares about benchmarks

It's not just benchmarks, the games run noticably slower in a lot of cases. When you're on the borderline of playability because you have all the eye candy turned on, Vista can make a lot of difference. Don't see the point of sacrificing performance for a pretty interface.

Just had a quick look on the bay and that seemed to be the going rate. *shrug*
