Got a case, what should I put in it for about £1000?

What's the IB-E that the 3820 would have enabled?

I'm a .NET, WP7, Windows 8, Android and iOS developer btw.

The current X79 LGA2011 platform is SandyBridge-E (SB-E) 32nm, which has the 3820 (Quad), 3930K (Hex), 3960X (Hex) etc processors.
Early 2013 will have Ivy Bridge-E (IB-E) processors 22nm, which will have Quad, Hex and no doubt Octa core processors. Refined.
These chips shouldn't be compared to the LGA1155 IB, it's much different, like SB is to SB-E. Quad channel IMC and no IGP for starters.
 
Thanks for that, struggled to find any confirmed info about the IB-E.

One last favour to ask, I may as well get a new PSU while I'm upgrading pretty much everything else. Just to be sure that it's compatible, not going to die on me from extreme age etc.

Can you guys recommend a good one to match the choices?
 
Will those be sufficient when I grab that second graphics card, overclock etc?

I've seen this one recommended on the forums, quite pricey though.
