But anyways i never done sales before so whats the best things i should do to prepare for this interview?.

The shop in luton airport so i think they sell mostly laptops and other portable electronics.

I know abit about desktops computers and laptops are pretty much the same so i mite be ok its just the sales part really.

Cheers

You will probably get asked questions based more on the sale side of things. Common sense really they are not hard, how ever they did make me sit an English/maths exam before i started.

The first thing I would say is that you need to have better literacy and communicative skills for the interview!

Don't forget, its customer facing, and as such, you need to be as presentable (both visually and verbally) as possible.

I'm not being a grammar Nazi but if you have a literacy test you'll fail.

Whats that? Got an interview

I've highlighted other glaring errors:

I agree with the above. I am a salesperson for a similar retailer, and if your grammar reflects your presentation in real life (which it might not do, but its likely) then you will find it difficult.

For some actual advice:

Overcoming customer's concerns/objections is an essential skill. How do you think you can talk your way around an objection in a way that gets you a sale and benefits the customer?

You don't have to know the deepest level ins and outs of every product you sell, but it helps if you have enough knowledge to be able to talk confidently and accurately about the key areas of whatever it is you are trying to sell. For PCs, this means knowing exactly the differences in specification between the models off by heart and being able to show to a customer exactly why the product you are showing them represents good value for money for their circumstances better than any alternative product.

Oh come on, if you are going to do that to him at least get it right yourself. dmpoole was at least trying to be constructive.

Yeah i Know my literacy not really good :(

Probs cause in my past jobs i never really needed it as i done warehouse jobs.

But i did work for silverjet as doorman/security so i am not to bad at talking face to face with customers .

And i had a lot of customers yelling at me at times when the plane was late or there car not turned up but always sorted the problems out and everything went ok.

So this job should be easyer then maybe lol.

Cheers for the info guys/gals keep it coming monday is the interview :eek:

Btw watch out for falling parts from the plane as your board when flying with silverjet :D:D

I wouldnt worry about thinking about what you're not good at. If you go in there with the right impression ie. courteous, smart and with a certain amount of confidence (without stepping into arrogant/cocky territory) it'll go a long way. Don't worry too much if your nervous most interviewers expect that and will account for it.

One last thing I would advise is to be punctual. Being really early for an appointment can sometimes give as bad an impression as being too late, If you arrive too early wait outside and go in no more than 5 minutes before your appointment and dont forget to offer your hand (for handshake).

Best of luck.

And thats why I check over and over before I send out to proper people.
We can all make the little grammatical mistakes but the glaring ones are obvious.

Anyway you should have a capital S and capital I in the first sentence.
I can't see whats wrong with having a capital N in front of Nazi and you should have a space after the comma.

Some people tend to write how they talk and I saw it a 1000 times when working in a Juvenile Offenders prison.
The problem I have is that I read the above with a pretend Gangsta accent and it works perfectly.
I hope you don't talk like that in real life.
We used to do mock interviews with the lads eg

Why do you want this job?
'Cause I needs to make some dough for ma babee muther who's having ma yout' .

Somehow I just wouldn't give him a job.
