Well I got my first proper job today, a paid placement for the summer developing a mobile/web applications with Java.



Finally got my foot in....very happy!

Pay is not great but experience is good.

I got laid off last December and wasn't finding anything local (single parent). But then my old boss called me up to fill in for someone who was off for a month in April.

Then the firm increased production and I got kept on for another month to help out. Then they extended my contract to the end of December.

Now I'm waiting on a meeting this week to offer me a permanent role instead
