Made the cables as neat as possible, without cutting the case, couldn't run the 8pin cpu plug any neater as it is too short.. :(
Any suggestions let me know ;)
Would like to have a full perspex side window but too scared of wrecking my side panel

They are nice cases, you planning any modding? Some "cold" cathodes would
look nice; friend of mine has one :) Though I prefer the Coolermaster 690 II
myself :D

Yeah was thinking of getting two cold ones as I already have the inverter.. not got no mods planned atm

cant help but notice a bit of an XFX theme there :P

might as well go the whole hog, swap every bit of blue for the equivilent in green

I started to do that on my old case changed all the sleeving to green and didn't have enough money to buy new fans in green..
I would like to do it to this case but it costs too much to buy all new fans in green unless there is a cheaper way?

Not half bad, just got an Antec 900 build today, for the family. Nice cases but fitting the HDDs drove me nuts. Also not a massive fan of blue, go with the XFX theme and make it all green. Still very good job though. Also if you wanted a little extra wire room you could flip the PSU round, so the wires are closer to the mobo.

Would love to go green, maybe when I get a bit of cash to swap all the fans over, but where sells a fan in green the same size at the huge one on the top?
cheers for the suggestion about the psu, will give that a shot, cheers!! :D

Well what I was going to try at some point with my HAF 922 is to buy some little LED lights of the bay and swap then out for the ones on the fan, green should be easy, I wanted to do purple though, much harder, also no purple plexi anywhere :(

Ah right never thought of swapping the leds out of the fans, is this an easy job? or am i likely to mess up my fans doing this LOL :D
If so I could swap all the leds to green and buy a couple of green cathodes, and job done, don't think id bother sleeving the cables green as I have just done them all black and I think it may break it up a little..
Has anyone done a 902 with green before?

I was also thinking of binning the stock side panel setup and getting a full perspex side window like tjharlow off you tube, but not sure id have the confidence to do this :D

I thought TJ had the 1200? Either way just depends on how much metal/perspex you would have to cut, sometimes it's as easy as taking one off and taping a new one on, for me the hrdest part is that I have no tools :P

Same here, I don't have a jigsaw etc... Although id love to do this mod as the stock side panel sucks, and lets it down a little :(

Also if you wanted a little extra wire room you could flip the PSU round, so the wires are closer to the mobo.

Tired this and It can't be done as the fan on the psu sits upside down :D

I had the same problem with the CPU 8pin being too short in my K62 so I bought this (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-022-AK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=153) and it does the job great. It is very cheap too. Nice case though :D

Cheers for the link will get one ordered! ;)

pretty easy. First get hold of some LEDs (i cant say where to get them from as i am not sure if the site counts as a competitor or not...).

for the case, it was a matter of removing the LEDs from the mounts, which are usually clip mounted (although the two on the front plate i found to be sellotaped in...). Then i peeled off the shrink wrap (wire cuters) around the legs, and snipped the wires just behind the LED (after taking note of the polarity). Strip the wires, trim the legs down on the replacement LEDs, solder them back onto the cables, and clip them in. I didnt put any shrink wrap back on because i dont have any, but i made sure the two legs were well apart so they wouldnt short.

for the fans, as above, except the one of the case fans, the LEDs were held in with a force fit. This required a considerable amount of pliering to get them out.

dont really know of any guides, but its pretty simple - remover old led, chop old led, solder on new led, refit led.

basically that lot, plus a (now white) led fan in the back (not shown), and power/hdd behind the front door

to do the whole case (10 or so LEDs) was about 20-25 mins

Cheers for the info, I am pretty good with the soldering iron so I will give it a go, off to look for some leds now :D, btw which type of leds do I need?
Also nice case, I was looking at them until someone said it looked like a fridge :D

yeh ive got this case, and im gunna throw you a question, how the hell do you get your cables so tidy? mine are all over the place!!! the only thing i can think of is drilling some more holes but i want to avoid that!

Takes allot of time to do it LOL, I can't stand loads of cables on show so tired to get them as neat as I could.. my rear side panel can only just about shut due to the mess of cables behind the mobo tray, I will get a picture up of the rear if it helps? You will always get a bunch on cables at the bottom next to the psu, as there is nothing you can do about it really, unless someone made some sort of enclosure to hide them..
No extra holes drilled here just used the stock ones antec put there..

Personally, I hate the side panel - looks stupid and over designed!
Too much mesh for my liking aswell :p

Overall though, your build looks good :D

Yeah I'm also not fussed on the side panel, and would like to loose the mesh on it, and get it all done in perspex..
Cheers ;)

Nice clean build, shame about the case :p;)

Btw my old man has an original Antec 900, and to say they're dust magnets is an understatement.

Cheers! ;)
It has dust filters on all of the intake fans, so as long as you clean them out often you shouldn't get much if any dust inside the case..

Nice (:

What sort of temps are you getting?

It varies with this hot weather (over 25c) with all fans on 100% cpu temp is around 40c, but I have seen as low as 30c in the evening when it's cooler, I will get some screen shots up of speed fan ;)

You are not the only one who had an iCute case! I still have, but I am due an upgrade! I assume you got it from that high street PC component retailer. I love massive side windows, and it is hard to find a nice, all black case with that feature. Personally, if they have nice looking drive bays, I want to see them too!

Yes I bought my icute from a well known store also, was rubbish quality but looked good, well happy with the quality of this antec case, I painted the inside of my icute black also./
