Since two cores are put in one module and the computer uses the module does that mean that old games such as Medieval 2 which only use 1 core can use 2 bulldozer cores or crysis 1 which uses 4 cores can use 8 bulldozer cores?

Im not to sure. Since Windows only sees "logical cores" in bulldozer, and not modules.

A 4 module BD will appear as 8 logical cores to Windows. So I'm assuming software will be the same. Each module is can run 2 threads like dual cores. So I doubt a single core game able to use the 2 logical cores.

Unless somehow you can get Windows to see the module as 1 core and then the module can sort out the 2 threads and return the results, then I doubt it. Thats my understanding of it all. The term modules just relates to the layout and arrangement.

The software will not see modules, the software will see cores. And each core is exclusive, they do not merge together at all.
