I’m having a mad week, detained at Gatwick then very much a crazy filled week in Munich seeing Bruce Springsteen, i come back and have an interview this Friday in London for the Apprentice, I applied and apparently they like me.... but would i give up my job for this? Properly not... but i guess i will regret it if i don’t give it a shot!

anyone else apply? anyone know any info on the filming time? i presume i would need to quit my job? if and i know it's a mega big if i got on the show

They will probably ask you at the interview if you will quit your job to test how serious you are about it.

Speak to your boss about a sabbatical to go on it quickly. Then you can sucker them because you will still have a job, no lose situation!

i agree all of the gumbos on the show appear to be complete tools, the question is.... are they really all like that or portrayed in that manor, i'm not driven by money and would be intrested in the experience, but think i should do the interview regardless and see what its all about, i would imagine they film it over 5 or 6 weeks?

My sister applied for the 2nd series, went down for the interviews etc and was selected to go on the show. Couldnt get the time off work so pulled out at the last minute.

really, did they say how long you would need off work, because there is no way on earth i would quite my job for it..... (again highly unlikely i would be choosen) but with the current climate on the jobs front im staying put

wtf is the apprentice?

Been living under a rock? :p
It's a tv show on BBC in which several people (~10-12 IIRC) line up to get a job for sir allen sugar with a salary of 100,000 a year. Only one person can get the job so lots of people get fired (1 a week usually)

Would work not give you the time off? It's not like you do anything anyway :D

cheeky! that's it i'm withdrawing SIMS support from you guys! - i said to my boss today, that i should be allowed the 3 months off on full pay as 'technically' its an interview and states in my contract i can take interviews at full pay :D

Ah......more reality type TV rubbish full of self involved idiots trying to prove they are at the centre of the cosmos.

Apologies for my memory loss there, I remember marking this as yet another reason to keep the TV turned off several years ago...
