Got Milk?

Milk in first, if only to get it to exactly the required shade of brown, tastes exactly the same as water in first, especially when you have absolutely no sense of taste.

Supposedly the best way is to make the tea in a seperate pot, then put milk in the mug/cup, then add the tea. Something to do with the flavour of the milk changing depending on the order of if you add hot>cold or cold>hot, I think.

But making in a mug, IMO the milk goes in last after the tea had brewed for a minute or two.

What he says, if you add milk in the mug first then the water won't be as hot and the tea oils won't infuse through the water as much. The reason you add milk first is because if you drop milk into near-boiling water the rapid temperature change will basically cause it to go sour. But obviously to do it that way you need a pot.

No it doesn't.QUOTE]

yes it does

coffe. sugar. milk. hot water

If i'm making coffee I'll put the milk in with the coffee.

Tea, just wrong, you need boiling hot water to properly brew it and the milk will just cool it down and prevent delicious tea entering the brew.

I seem to be the only one of my friends and workmates that puts milk in last in tea or coffee. I find with instant coffee that the granules dont always dissolve if the milk is in first...

This thread = cure for insomnia.

Method 2
1, Use a peculator to infuse a jug of water with the coffee goodness
2, Poor into cup
3, Drink:cool:

Or for those wimps who cant handle their coffee pure.
1, Use Espresso maker to create pure coffee
2, Poor into cup
3, Steam Milk
4, Poor steamed milk into cup
3, Drink, you may add optional sugar if you are really wimpy:D

Earl Grey in a mug > Hot Water > Sugar > 3 mins > Tea bag out > Add a slice of lemon > Enjoy

Sugar AND Lemon? No!

Tea bag = Milk second (you will scold the milk otherwise)
Teapot = doesn't matter really, but if you are adding sugar, milk after the tea otherwise sugar won't melt.
